Things I have forgotten to do in the run up to Christmas....

Bugger! Forgotten to:
  • get out the boy's advent calender thingy. Wouldn't have mattered last year as neither understood what time it was let alone the date but now...
  • update address book all year, now have to write them out twice! Once on cards and once for address book...
  • order the Christmas Turkey from the butchers early enough to get discount. Now will have to pay full price  - have you seen how expensive these ruddy things are? Perhaps no one would notice if it was an over large chicken....
  • order the oil...could be in for s chilly night folks! Have run round house closing doors, lowering thermostats and flinging on ultra sexy Helly Hensen thermals.
  • advertise puppies anywhere but Horse & Hound. No wonder no one is calling. This could be a more expensive/exciting Christmas than I planned: four adults, two kids, one siamese cat, two labradors, two jack russels and seven whippets????!!!!

You'll be needing a stiff sherry then?

Sounds like you're in for a fun Christmas with all those dogs!!

We get a giant turkey from a local farmer and it costs around £65. It does us for Christmas day and New Year's day and the Farmer strips it bare then makes disgusting soup with it that I won't touch. The whole house stinks!

Advent calendar - remembered, it's a weeny little calendar-cum-card but it'll do.
Address book - ditto
Turkey - or goose? - still don't know how many are coming so can't order mine yet.
Oil - ditto. But then remembered slightly too late. Am amazed every time the heating comes on or we get hot water. It's on the way apparently. That's if they don't turn up at the shop with it like last time. Ditto thermals. But yours are posh - mine come from Tesco.
Puppies. Sssshshhhh. If I'd only known in July... Teasel is so naughty I couldn't countenance another, no matter how cute those pics of yours (heart-breakingly sweet, I do admit).

Oh dear, I still have loads to do aswell. Advent calendar is sorted. I'm not doing xmas cards this year, partly eco friendly, and partly lazy. lol. I'll do xmas emails instead. Wish we could help out with the puppies. I'd gladly have one, if only we lived closer and Santa would oblige!!

Go on you know you want to...
